Iowa v OSU Prediction Thread

Alright boys and girls, lets get your predictions down. Lee Sterling is going to the game and picking the Hawks outright 31-27. I like that score a lot.
Here's my guess. 28-27 Hawks with a huge INT as the Bucks are marching down the field late in the 4th quarter for the win. The Iowa D rises to the occasion and slaps the critics in the mouth!

Iowa by 7......although it would be only the third "close" win this year. Avg. margin of victory is over 24 points. We haven't been great in close games, but Kinnick will be the difference.

Iowa 24 OSU 17 - A see saw battle with Iowa down 10-7 at half. McNutt with a TD with 1:30 left to go and Pryor is stopped short of a first down by James Morris on a 4th and 3 scramble at midfield with 35 seconds left. Ricky takes a knee in victory formation and everyone storms the field.

Ohio State 24
Iowa 10

And it won't be that close.

I'm not saying that it won't happen but Iowa hasn't lost by double digits since 2007. We took them to OT with a back up QB last year and I think this years team is better than last years (obviously not in the win loss column)

I don't see them beating us by that much.

Over the past 3/4 year our avg. margin in defeat is less than 6 pts. It'll be a close loss or a double figure win if the season trend holds true.....I still think however, that Iowa wins by a touchdown or so.

Will Iowa respond to a loss the week before like they did against Michigan State?

No. With 3 losses already, the season is already a massive disappointment regardless of what happens from here forward. There isn't much remaining to play for. The players know it and will not have much energy today.

Iowa hasn't lost a game by double digits since the Purdue game in 2007.

That streak ends today. Bucky goes ahead by a couple early scores and Iowa never threatens.

OSU 34, Iowa 17

Iowa 29
Ohio State 24

Iowa forces two huge turnovers in Ohio State territory and capitalizes on both. They also get a safety for good measure.

Keep the faith.

Always half full,

I think Hawks come out and play well early up 17-0 but as our coaching staff will do, starts getting tight, conservative and playing not to lose. Iowa game plan from then on is run for loss, run for short gain, pass for short gain, punt. OSU comes storming back and wins 31-24.

OSU 31 Hawkeyes 20

We won't be able to run the ball and will continue to struggle with 3rd down conversions <40%
