I'd rather have a QB that can read a defense and not make that throw. And no, I'd like an out route across the sticks underneath that post, with the instruction that if there is a CB within five yards of that route when the slot makes the break, throw it out of bounds.

That may be good be it could also be indicative of a very poor defensive line that is not making stops. On the other side of the coin are those who feel the offensive line occupies the offense so the linebackers can make the plays. Six one way half a dozen the other.
