Iowa v. Indiana Football Game

Does anyone have a copy of the full televised Iowa v. Indiana game from last season. That was a classic game and I would love to have a dvd or vhs of the game.

Let me know if anyone knows of a way to get a copy.

Thanks and Go Hawks.

I still have it on my DVR but I haven't decided on a way to record it. I have a DVD recorder that works like a VCR, but am kinda scared what the qualilty would be like since it's recorded in HD and it wouldn't record in that quality. I have put this on my "to do" list and if I can figure out a way to do it I will be happy to make you a copy. I hope to do this in the next couple weeks and I will send you an e-mail when I get it done.

iapunk,

if you figure out a good way to do this let me know - I've got a couple BTNHD Iowa games on my Directvhd DVR and I have a Samsung dvd/vcr recorder that has up-conversion to 1080p but like you said you lose the high definition. I would love to somehow record in HD. Thanks

This is the way I get recording off my DishNetwork receiver and onto my computer. It works like a champ! HD PVR Product overview I know there are other boxes as well that do the same thing. I own this one though, so I can say with 100% certainly that it works great!

I will say you will need to be a bit tech savvy to get it all set up and recording right. Plus you need to have a computer or laptop near you receiver. The cable/satellite companies want to make it very difficult to take shows and recordings off of their boxes.

Thanks dv,

This looks like a great solution, however I can easily get overwhelmed with anything more than AV hookups so I'll have to figure out a way to get some help if I do it. Too bad I don't live back home in Ankeny anymore or I'd ask you to help me set it up!

I use a cheap capture card that has an s-video input. I think all cable/dish boxes and dvrs have s-video out, at least all of mine have. It isn't perfect put the picture is more than acceptable. I record it on my dvr and then play it while recording with my computer. This is the most convenient way to do it, and it allows you to FF thru halftime. I have found that even though s-video isn't nearly HD quality, it is still a very good picture. Also it helps to record it in HD, even for s-video out. You have to get an RCA-1/8" stereo cable for the sound. This has been great for away/bowl games over the past 6-7 years i've been doing it. You can literally watch the whole season by the time you get to Florida! It is quite the setup for the bowl game.
I have a copy of all the games from this season and most form last on a portable hard drive. If you are interested I can arrange a meeting next time i'm in IC, or you might be able to drop off a portable harddrive with my brother and he could copy it. I'm not going to lend it out because its my only copy. (I couldn't store that many games on my HD anymore).
I've also heard rumor of some iowa games out there as torrents, but haven't personally messed with it.
