No doubt the O is bad. Top ranked fcs teams are pretty good and can play with better but not terrific FBS teams early before injuries pile up. Usually smaller in size but can be very quick.

This is what has upset me for several years. With our defense just a top thirty offense would put us in the top ten every year and we would have a good CHANCE at being in the playoffs once every three or four years.

It’s damn game, let the players and fans have fun. I swear Kirk and Joe Pa went to the same school of offense. Joe clearly had the higher recruited players (star rating wise), but he had this conservative offensive control mindset I remember a game where Joe was twenty points down and so he had to open up his offense. It was like he just flipped a switch, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, three touchdown just like that and Penn State had the lead Then Joe went back into conservative mode.

I am probably in the minority, but I love watching their offense. I would trade what the Hawks are trotting out for that in a heartbeat.

Yes, the only reason Petras is still starting is because defense and special teams keep bailing out the offense. So the offense has no incentive to make big changes. No other coach would have left Petras start the 2nd half today.
