Iowa to land commit #9?

Multiple sources are reporting that WR Mike Rogers of Bishop Luers HS (Fort Wayne, IN) will make his college announcement at approximately 7 PM this evening. Rogers is a 3-star on all the major recruiting sites and will choose between Iowa and Bowling Green.

Well, well...has nice elusiveness, knows how to make the corners turn their hips and make his move in the route. Seems to get behind the defense quite often so could be a homerun threat. Not so sure on his speed by the video but looks like a solid prospect if he decides to dawn the black and gold.
 
I see BG getting him, now that O'Queef is gone taking along with him his pass happy sling the ball around offense who would want to come to Iowa to play WR now? And with Soup as your positions coach... No thanks I'd pass too.

Well for what it’s worth Bowling Green has had some terrific WR’s of late and the MAC in general has produced some sensational WR’s and NFLers in general.
 
Highlight reel looks pretty good. He's fast & quick but not elite in either. Has pretty good initial acceleration when he wants. Good body control and is a fluid athlete. Mostly catches with his hands away from his body. Bounces off a lot of tackles, probably has something to do with level of competition. Just runs by a lot of CBs for the probably the same reason.

Stand-out play for me was him driving a deep out up the field and getting the DB to open up. He planted and came back awfully quickly and then made the safety & CB both miss and took it in for the TD.

Also, his QB from this film has himself a damn good arm. He was a Bowling Green commit in the class of '12 apparently. Probably why he's looking at Bowling Green.
 
my question is how many people will add a "d" into his last name like aaron's name kind of like they do to brad our fullback's last name?
 
Hmm, with Davis on the staff, and his recent comments about the receivers, it sure is interesting to see what WRs we are offering this year.
 
Scout.com still doesn't show a verbal yet. It does say he still has a Iowa offer. I'm guessing he didn't annuonce, or at least I can't find anything saying he did.
 
Apparently he decided not to commit last night. The reason is unknown right now.

Edit: In my assessment, he either trolled a bunch of good reporters, he got cold feet, or the team he wanted to commit to didn't want him to commit yet. I'm betting on the third scenario.

I don't totally follow you. Do you suppose he wants Iowa, but we have asked him to hold out for a bit, so we can lock another recruit, or...?

Does anybody know what kind of competition he was up against in the videos, b/c he looks like a beast. Does anybody know his 40 time?
