SCOUTING SOUTH DAKOTA
• South Dakota has three players averaging double figures in scoring: Juevol Myles (15.8), Karim Rowson (12.3) and Trevor Gruis (11.3). Myles also leads the squad in assists (4.5), while Gruis is the team's leading rebounder (6.8).
• The Coyotes won their last game, 88-68, over IUPUI on Dec. 1 at home. Senior point guard Juevol Myles made his first eight shots from the field in scoring a career-high 26 points. It was Myles' third 20-point effort in his last four games.
• South Dakota outrebounded IUPUI, 42-27. The Coyotes also sank 28-of-33 (.848) of their free throw attempts.
• The Coyotes have two players who have each attempted 45 three-pointers: Juevol Myles (18-45) and Casey Kasperbauer (17-45).
• The Coyotes are 0-2 in true road games and 3-1 in home contests.
• Video coordinator and Sioux City, Iowa, native Tyler Vanderloo was Iowa's video intern the previous two seasons (2010-12).
