I always love the "we invented the computer" claim. Yeah, in the same way Al Gore invented the internet.

1. I guess that all depends on your definition of "computer". I wouldn't credit the guy who invented the wheel with today's automobile.

2. In those exact words, no. But in a March 1999 interview with Wolf Blitzer, Gore said, "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet." So it's certainly a more accurate representation than many other "quotes" attributed to political personalities.

Weak. That is taken out of context and you know it. He was taking credit for sponsoring a bill that would provide funding for the development of the internet.
