Iowa State by 4

I think the Hawkeyes will prevail, but they must avoid turnovers. If the can this will be win number 40, 40 out of 59 times isn't to shabby. I dislike the Iowa State game because of the context of it, Iowa is expected to again win and if it loses it is a big deal.

This could be the last ISU vs Iowa game or one of the last for a while if realignment forces ISU elsewhere. So winning on Saturday would be a good way for the Hawks to finish off this uninterrupted ooc series.

Considering Iowa has won 10 of the last 14 road games, I guess they don't play very well on the road do they. How is THAT for a trend or do you look selectively at a few games Iowa has lost and call that a trend. Op is just trying to stir up Iowa fans.

The last time the clowns won we had Jake the Snake at QB and he couldn't hit anyone if he handed the ball to them...that pretty much sums it up.

It would be great if this series ended. Saying that, the clowns are not about to let their only full house get away from them. They already lost Nebraska's full house.

So, because of the late 1990s-2000s, you're saying we will lose our next two visits to Ames? Since 2000, we have lost to ISU 5 times. 2 at Iowa City and 3 times at Ames. That doesn't make it some sort of trend.

Can ISU beat us this year? Definitely. Is there a slightly higher chance that it happens at Ames, probably. But to see some sort of trend is ridiculous. The only 'trend' there is in this rivalry is that quite literally anything can happen on gameday. ISU could kick 5 field goals to win. They could miss three field goals in a somewhat close loss. Etc, etc.

Good for you, Kalina, and your predictions. After the game, we will "remind" you of your prediction but of course you will be nowhere to be seen.

And Iowa has won 6 of the last 8 games.

Not sure what trends you are looking at????

Most of the clowns wins were during KF's first 4 years when Iowa was rebuilding. One loss had Jake the Snake at the helm--that should say it all there.

Average score at Jack Trice in the Ferentz Era

Iowa, 19 Iowa State, 16

Which is really funny considering ISU is 4-2 over that time frame.

What that tells me is if the game is close we're in trouble. If it's a blowout, it will almost certainly be us who is administering the beatdown.

I will be here.

If the Hawks win I will gladly eat crow.

Just saying Iowa is not an experienced team and not where they will hopefully be, come November. Iowa could have problems with the inexperience on the road today.

We'll see.

Jeebus! Are all of you guys serious!? Trends and history don't mean a damn thing! You can throw all of that out the window today. That being said, I do think the Hawks prevail today (barring any injuries).

10 - 10 at the half.

Iowa needs to ramp it up in the second half and take it to the 'Clones.

Iowa State's going to come out expecting to win this game. It wouldn't surprise me if they pull out all the stops to win it.
