One of my four predicted losses by Iowa.

I'm not getting into the details, as recent history dictates the scene.

Last week was to form, as in recent years The Cyclones play poorly the game before Iowa but the 'Clones manage to pull out a win against the Hawks in Ames and Iowa generally plays less than he best when Iowa visits Iowa State.

As with the Northwestern jinx or whatever you call it, until Iowa breaks trend I'm predicting a Cyclone victory Saturday. Hope I'm wrong!

Did you just wake up after a very long nap? Last time Iowa went to Ames they won 35-3.

I think the operative "trend" was number of players ISU had on roster that were coached by Dan McCarney.

2003 we killed them there. Two of the last 4 there we have blown them out. 2007 we had Manson - enough said. 2005 was the one year there that was horrible.

how many prediction threads do we need? if you want to bring up recent history dont ignore the last three years. the all time series is 39-19 so i guess we will see

Like most Iowa games and certainly vs isu we will "know". The outcome by half or early in the 3rd. I don't see Iowa winning a close one.

one win does not break the trend. How about looking at that the opposite way and throw in Jake and Manson to the equation. I look at 2005/7 as the anomolous games.

there is more than one kind of trend in this series, how is your trend more likely to occur than mine?

Ames is not a daunting place to play, I get that we havent played our best ball there. Fact remains that ISU has only beat one good Iowa team EVER. I actually root for ISU outside of this series because if we beat them we need them to succeed to make us look better and if we lose to them we need them to succeed to not make us look so bad

I will take an Iowa win in this game by one point from now until the second coming of Jesus Christ. That being said, Iowa 24-13.
