One thing to note is how awful Baylor, Missouri and Oklahoma St. were at one time.

Based on year end records I believe Iowa should have at least 2 more wins during this time

Are you kidding me, based on year end records and overall talent, but discounting coaching, the Hawks should have probably won all these games except 2001 where hawks didnt play well and 2005 when Tate had the concussion and maybe '99 and 2000.

The hawks were close to beating ISU in 99 and 2000 as bad as they were.

I may be saying this with Hawk black and gold colored glasses but the coaches have pooped this game down their leg 4-5 times including 2002 when the defense came out at halftime playing softer than a marshmallow.

Can you for the life of you say why we lost to ISU in 2007?

Absolutely pathetic!!!

The alarming thing isn't how ISU finished or how bad they were, but only once in that time did they beat an Iowa team that would go on to win more than 7 games. Now can 2014 be the 2nd time they beat an Iowa team that won 8 or more games, possibly but it doesn't appear that way after 3 weeks.

Excellent observation. So basically if we win 7 games or more, it will be a statistical outlier.

I think you guys will find out a lot about your program today....either KF has lost this team, or they'll bounce back and pound Pitt.
