Iowa Seed?

I'm really just going from research and projections. If anyone has us lower than a 6 I haven't seen it. Kenpom and Sagarin both have us ranked 17 and Louisville is ineligible so that projects to a 4. Our Real Time RPI is 27 with Louisville ahead of us. Average those 3 out and we're a 5.
I think I've seen us on the 5 line several places. I think we end up a 7 because we may not win again this year. I guess it's time to man up and save the season or wilt away. We will know in a few days.

How bad does everyone want to go back and do the last few weeks over? This season was so much fun and I was so excited with the possibility of a 1 or 2 seed in Des Moines.

I heard Adam Haluska on a podcast talking about how much the Northwestern State game bothers him. As much as this season hurts, it will be a part of the players lives for as long as they live.

I say 6. But it doesn't matter. I saw JDM tweeting this AM about teams Iowa doesn't want to face in the NCAA's. To me, their biggest challenge is themselves. Makes no difference who they face. Early season Iowa can beat anyone, late season Iowa can lose to anyone.

Again, they are probably a 5 seed at this moment. One loss doesn't put you from a 5 seed to the bubble. This collapse sucks *** and we shouldn't even be thinking 6-7 seed but they'd be nowhere near the bubble.

During the Indiana game, Lunardi said the WORST we'd end up is a 6 seed. I took that to mean "lose out, 6 seed."

This year's collapse started a couple games later in the season, and started from the #4 spot, as opposed to 10-11. Makes a bit of difference for tournament seeding.

Iowa basketball, these past few weeks.
I did like the new blood on the floor, so I see us getting to the semi-finals of the B1G tournament.
Seed will be a 6, and we'll struggle, but win, against the 11 seed, a la George Washington, from years ago.

They lose Saturday and next Thursday they most certainly will be worse than a 7. Or at least there is a greater chance than a snowball not melting in hell.

Lunardi thinks differently he said Tuesday Night no matter how Iowa finishes he doesn't see us falling below a 6th seed. Our resume is to strong!

Thats ts exactly what he meant.

I still say our biggest issue has been shooting. Michigan is terrible on defense so I'm hopeful.

You left out the part right after he said that. He made an assumption we would win some games in the B1G tournament, no doubt a key factor in determining his opinion on the matter.

Want to bet your a $$ our boys find their way again? I'm tired of negative crap like this. I would hate to play us. Why? Big Ten teams may have figured it out but out of conference teams haven't

I agree with you that out of conference will help. Scares me that the formula to beat us seems so simple. Physical with Uthoff, ignore the roll on pick and roll and double the ball.
