Iowa ranked 9, Iowa State 15 in Fox Analyst Poll

If you look at this as an exercise in watching the actual results on the field, and not just blindly relying upon your preseason assumptions, these rankings are fair. Iowa beat-up on a nationally ranked team while ISU almost lost to Briar Cliff or Coe or someone.

I suspect ISU drops one in AP and we go up 4. Those voters will never admit that they might have been wrong preseason. ISU will stay in the Top 10 to help the ESPN Game Day hype machine

Yes, as shown above Iowa to #10 in the AP. It will be interesting to see if Indiana can be good again as it has been a long time, mid 80s, since their coach back then had multiple good years in a row.

I mean, who else has time to watch 52 games every weekend? Cause they watch every game. Right? Right?
This is the point I call out any time I hear people poo-pooing computer rankings for college football and basketball.

Are computer models perfect? Heck no. Ultimately, they are human creations, full of assumptions, compromises, subconscious bias, etc.

But they watch every. Single. Game. And watch it *thoroughly* with perfect uniformity. And a computer doesn't know Ohio State from San Jose State - no logo bias, in other words.
