It will take more than beating Wisconsin, though that would be nice. Beating us last year didn't prevent Wisconsin from ending up in that same Pinstripe Bowl.

Meanwhile we beat a good Mississippi State team. That was a nice bowl "win".

Any bowl win that knocks out an SEC team is a great win for Iowa or any fellow conference school.

Wisconsin is the watershed game, again, because Wisconsin has toyed with Iowa recently, they are the main competitors in the west and because Wisconsin has become what Iowa was. That needs to switch back for Iowa to be taken as serious contenders.

Thw Hawks have a borderline nfl prospect QB, 2 NFL OTs, and 2 guys at edge rush that will be playing on Sunday. That's the 3 most important positions in the game, and enough to make this team into potentially something special.

I think our entire defense is going to be salty as hell. We'll have a chance in every game, but it's a brutal schedule. I could see anything from 11-1 to 7-5 with 8 seeming like the most likely outcome. Too many away games against top 25 teams.
