Iowa opens as -16 point underdog

There is a HUGE opportunity there right now - no way Stoops embarasses Iowa.

Man, kinda wish I gambled on 18-22 year old kids right now.

I think there is a good chance the line will be 18 or 19 by kickoff. A lot of talk about the out matched and slow Hawks and the loaded Sooners will pull the line up.

if this doens't get our team fired up, nothing will

I hope so.

I sorta figured the Hawks would have come out on fire on Senior Day vs Michigan State. Ditto to playing Nebraska.

I cannot understand how flat this year's team has been at times. Don't mind losing to better teams... just hate apathy.

Let's go Hawks!

I like Iowa for a lot of reasons.

I think it will be a challenge for Oklahoma's staff to get its players excited about this game. When was the last time Oklahoma went to such a crappy bowl? And they likely weren't ranked #1 that season, either.

How many times has Iowa played not only well, but perhaps its best of the season in a bowl under Ferentz? I think you could argue the '03 Outback, the '09 Outback, the Capital One, the '10 Orange, both Alamos, and the Insight. If not the best game of the season, Iowa certainly played nearly its best game of the season. That's pretty impressive. So most years Iowa makes a bowl under Ferentz it plays its best football.

Iowa should have a completely healthy Mike Daniels and Morris. Weren't those guys hobbled for much of the conference season? Those are two impact guys on a pretty average defense.

I think Iowa pulls out a close one.

People jumping on the points bandwagon need to realize that despite being 9-3, Oklahoma is calculated as the 4th best team via Sagarin rating system. Jeff has Iowa as 18 point dogs. That said, it may work in our favor that our rating might be skewed heavily by the bad losses to Minnesota and ISU.
