msn.fox sports has Northwestern upsetting #13 Iowa. ( It's OK, they have Texas beating Oklahoma State at OSU. )

Although it looks like it on paper, I wouldn't consider it much of an upset given recent history. NW is exactly the type of offense that the Iowa defense counts on most teams not being -- accurate, disciplined and patient. They are also "crazy" in that they play to win and are willing to dramatically change / adjust things to get their.
I call this game a toss-up and the only way Iowa wins is to avoid turnovers and turn last week's FG's into TD's. If Iowa has zero red-zone TD's again this week they will most certainly lose.

Anything can happen ... that's the nature of parity in the college game ... especially if turnovers and/or injuries come into play.
However, that said, consider the following factors:
- Northwestern is a better road team than a home team
- It sounds like Norm will possibly be at the game (potential big emotional boost for the Hawks)
- Hawks came off a pretty poor performance against the Hoosiers

We were also on upset alert against Indiana...and Penn State...and Michigan. I counted I think 7 games last year where we were on upset alert too. It's becoming predictable.

I think Texas is at home and I picked them to win too. That being said, I think IOWA beats NU by 13. Let's Go Hawks!!
We're tired of getting dogged by these guys. We got a chip on our shoulder about it and everyone has had this game on their minds since last year. We're focused and ****** off. This is the year we kick the _ _ _ _ out of the Cats, they're going to get pushed around real bad all day long. Iowa wins big on this day!

Keep in mind, it isn't so much that Northwestern has "upset" the Hawkeyes the past few years, it's that Iowa has handed the game to Northwestern. Too many mistakes and too much misfortune.

Uh, this is exactly the kind of unrealistic, out of touch post that gives us hawk fans a bad rep. It's great to be positive and hopefull..but lets get real here. If we win by more than 20, it will be very surprising. I say Hawks 27-20.
