Iowa offers Alex Carr

Just got a tweet from my old buddy Everhawk, and says Iowa coaches were at CR Washington today and extended an offer to Mr Carr.

PS..for Jon, Ever wants to know if he can come back now?:D

You must be on the wrong board. This post doesn't contain DJK.

Interesting, wonder what this means for Coe and other RB. I know they offered Tra Carson (or it was just reported) the other day. Not sure this is great news unless they see him as a CB.

Should be a slam dunk. His other offers include Illinois State, North Dakota, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, and South Dakota State.

I think he is being recruited at CB so don't think it means much about Coe or Carson.

Everhawk has been relegated to the Twitter because 8 or 9 guys don't understand where he's coming from and complain about him? What a shame. No wonder this country's going to h-e double hockey sticks.

That is where Iowa's best talent comes from. Chad Greenway, Bob Sanders, Dallas Clark, DJK albeit his recent trouble he still was excellent talent, any tight end not named Moeaki.

I think if he comes to Iowa he'll take the spot we were saving for Damiere Byrd before he went to SC. They have similar size and Carr has plenty of speed, so I could see them using him in the slot or maybe as a 3rd down scat back.

i wouldnt call it a "slam dunk" i do remember Mr. Andre Dawson who had offers from Big Time programs and if memory serves me correctly, he is at UNI.

so anything is possible

That's because he got hurt and Iowa anyway kind of pulled his offer or made him a walk on offer instead.

i was unaware of iowa pulling his offer.. so my point is not valid.. i feel like a donkey )

You're fine, scout still has him as having an offer from Iowa, but I remember that once he injured his knew I believe that Iowa offered as a walk on or gray shirt.

Dawson's offer had some stipulations when it was offered, saying Iowa pulled it because of an injury is not right. I don't think Dawson ever had a written offer as running back, which he wanted to play.

How do you know this is my question? Are you on the staff? This all seems like conjecture at this point. In theory a kid could decide to go to UNI for a different experience rather than Iowa.

This is what was discussed by many knowledgable people on this board. And as someone mentioned above, I believe he had an offer but it was more for CB, after the injury it became a walkon/gray shirt deal. he could've had a full schollie if he would've accepted earlier, but he wanted to play RB.
