Iowa @ Nebraska on BTN?

Im more interested in the start time than who picks up the coverage. I think 11 makes sense, unfortunately. Lincoln has to be a little apprehensive about how this crowd is going to behave. It could just end up being two very spirited fan bases enjoying some football but Im more inclined to think it is going to get alot rowdier than that. An 11 am game would give everyone alot less time to get inebriated and out of control. I had heard for years that that is why Iowa had so many 11 am games, the powers that be saw it helped keep the crowds more tame with less hours to drink before kickoff. Not sure if theres any truth to that but it does make sense.

I'm sure there is some truth to that, but TV times are 99% about what TV wants. Before every game was televised Iowa played 1pm games, much of that was due to the fact Kinnick has no lights. But I would guess a side benefit to that was it helped curb binge drinking.

I'm pretty sure that Lincoln doesn't want an 11am start. They would prefer having all 6pm starts, O Street and the Haymarket are pretty wild during night games, it is a huge boost to the local economy.

I also believe that a berth in the Big Ten Title game will be at stake in this game.
But,fortunately, when OSU beats Michigan the next day, Iowa will claim that berth, despite losing to the Huskers the day before...tie breaks will allow Iowa to advance at 5-3 over a 5-3 Michigan and MSU. Neb?...beating Iowa will get them to 4-4.

If this game gets stuck on BTN, than they need to reevaluate this whole "friday" thing

Well I was wrong on this one, although I did say ABC at 11am was a possibility. I'm happy this will be a true national game. Feel sorry for anyone working on that day!
