Shane thank you! And Imported Papa, I'm currently in Camp Liberty in Baghdad, near the International Airport. My first deployment in 2006-2007 we ran convoy escort missions and used to message our TOC with the MTS (it's like an instant messenger for the military) in our truck for Iowa Football scores....I'll never forget as we passed Fallujah one evening my truck commander had literally just told me the Iowa-Iowa State score, (we beat them, forget the score of the game) and right as he told me there must have been a massive air strike or an incredibly large IED detonation in the city as the whole sky lit up lol. I never felt so far away from Kinnick Stadium as I did right then and there. My entire unit however, was from Lincoln, Ne, soooo you can imagine how joyous that was for a Hawkeye fan....I did manage to Sabotage a company photo by unveiling a huge Iowa Flag right after the picture was taken (those in the front row were proudly displaying a cornhuskers flag), so, they made us re-take the picture, at which point, I just sat down behind everyone, no way, no how, was I going to be a part of that.
