Don't know if this has been posted before, I know it's been discussed. I don't even know if the stats are true, but picked it up from someone posting on ESPN conversation for the UVA/Iowa game.

Iowa shot 23% from the field in the last 2 minutes of all single digit losses and 53% from the FT line in the same games in the last 2 minutes ( those numbers are 17% and 20% lower than their season averages respectively). Conversely Iowa opponetns shot 56% from the field and 83% from the FT line in the last 2 minutes of those same games ( 18% higher than the season average FG% that Iowa allowed). Put more plainly Iowa couldnt shoot in late game situations when they lost and Iowas opponent srarely missed. Its a crazy stat but explans how you lose 7 games in which you led or trailed by a single possession with 2 minutes left.
