Great news!! Rob, do you think that the staff knows where Eno is going so they told the RB's left on board that there is only 1 RB scholarship left?
Good question. I don't think it would be the case where the coaches reached out to the RBs it's offered to let them know about Eno. I do think they make prospects aware of the number of players they plan to take at a given position. And most of these kids are smart enough to ask for updates and to keep an eye on things.
In Kelly-Martin's case, I think he was blown away at junior day. He wanted to be a Hawkeye.
Also, I think there's a chance we take 3 RBs this cycle. A chance. Clair and Rowell are guys who could be RBs but also DBs. Not feeling great about chances with Rowell after speaking with him after junior day. Said Iowa City was small for him. Iowa is by far Clair's best offer and he's visited multiple times. He appears to be waiting for something he likes more.
I think some things like that don't really have to be said out loud. The coaches probably told them how many RBs they plan on taking and that number is either 2 or 3 and these two guys both know about each other and it is what it is.. I highly doubt Iowa's coaches gave him any kind of ultimatum/deadline at this point? No I don't I think everyone just knows the dots and connected them and are making their decisions accordingly. Are you saying the coaches told Kelly-Martin he better commit because there's only one RB scholarship left?
