Would love to have Yelverton’s commitment followed up by a commitment from Theo Johnson outta Ontario, Canada. If we keep getting great TE recruits, who needs a WR when you can line up 4 6’5” TE’s! Talk about scaring the crap outta of the opponents secondary! Let the pipeline flow! Brahahaha! (mad scientist evil laugh).

The better question would be, "why would Georgia, Florida, LSU and Auburn want a 3* recruit"? Likely answer is because he should really be a 4*.

Maybe they should. TE’s on LB’s and DB’s is the biggest mismatch in college and pro ranks. Call them “specialists” or whatever you want, but can you just imagine what we would look like if we had two Fant type TE’s working the outside and the slot and two Hockenson type guys on the line? We have trouble recruiting elite WR’s, but we don’t seem to have any problem developing elite TE’s. So let’s do something more unique than anyone else! Imagine defenses trying to practice defending that concept? Just saying.

Fant was considered a specialist because they didn't like his blocking. Technically we always put out 4 TE's since it appears we spend more time teaching the WR's to block than run routes or catch the ball. The real Twilight Zone would be if we went 4 wide with 4 Riley McCarrons out there.
