Iowa Lands Another Australian Punter

Big shoes to fill. Anyone that has seen Aussie Rules knows at least the kid is tough and can probably drink 15-20 Fosters in sitting.

Ah, yes, the secret sauce, "punting is winning", please everyone let me have it, you know "Larry Downer". So, this is Iowa football, a hard on about a punter, what's wrong with a WR or two that can run a 4.5 forty, oh not to mention a QB, with two good legs, and understands he supposed to throw it too a receiver, not over his head.

Sorry left out the WR want list, fast, knows how to run routes, as in if you need 11 run the route 14, maybe even come back to make the catch, all novel ideas, ya think?

Oh, my bad, forgot Iowa isn't in the Junior High Division anymore (Big Ten West), wow, they are going to need to play Big Boy Football, with some of the Big Boys, let me get back to you on the 11 and 1 thing.

Just to let you know, I will appeal this to 11th circuit, as an infringement on my 1st Amendment rights. I found a couple of Trump's ex-lawyers who got stiffed by the Donald and they are hungry for a case.

Oh no, not the bouncer, is he big and mean, maybe a heavy weight wrestler type, please don't do that.
Are you OK? I'm seriously asking.

It seems like either you're trolling in ways that just aren't funny or you seem really miserable to just go off this way. I don't know you at all, but I can pretty much guarantee that I've had a worse 2023 than you and I just don't see the need to go off this way.

How is it that the US hasn't had a punting school program started like what they do down there? You can't tell me that with all the kids playing soccer around here that if just a few of them went into doing this instead that it couldn't become a thing. Granted there's probably way more $ in soccer then punting but none the less a scholly is a scholly.

They have passing camps for HS QBs and WRs all over the place they use for both improving kids but evaluating them. But kicking and punting I don't know if there's much of anything for those around here.

Doesn't Australian Rules Football have a lot to do with these players punting really well? Many of their kids grow up playing that. Not sure but I think punting and in particular situational punting is pretty big in that sport, which lays a really good foundation for American football. I then think these players can build off that in this program to tailor to American football. I could be wrong, but that would be rare!

Thoughts?

There are national specialist programs in the US, the big ones being Kohls and Sailer, both of which have been around awhile. Then are regional outfits. I think Keith Duncan coaches high school kickers in Iowa.

But, yes, the Aussie Rules game teaches these guys key elements of punting at a young age. Many of them never play American football until they arrive here, like Tory Taylor.

Hey thanks, I appreciate your thoughts, hope you have a better 2024 (seriously). Actually, I suffer from a condition called, "acute sarcasm", gets me in trouble allot, however I am in therapy trying to control it. I've noticed it flaring up, reading some of posts on this site, ones such as, "we are just a good OC away from winning a National Championship", reading that, I just started to shake and sweat, ya know kind of like a recovering alcoholic, with a well-stocked liquor cabinet in his bedroom. Just to let you know, I am going to work on this 2024, and get better for me and everyone around me. Hmm, looks I need a therapy session today.
