Iowa is a 3-point Favorite Against the Huskers

Since we went to the B1G, I think that the away team has won every game except 2011.

FYI, at this point nobody knows who will be starting at QB. Armstrong has the hammy, allegedly Fyfe broke his left wrist and had surgery on it Sunday.
Neither one is out for sure, correct?

Nebbie coach is being coy, but the bottom line is that Armstrong, whose strength is running the ball, has a hamstring issue...that is serious business for someone running the ball. The second string QB has a broken wrist on his NON-throwing arm. But, one handed QB's are not in high demand. They don't even really have a third stringer, except for a guy they are trying to preserve as a red shirt. After that its a wide receiver. I think Nebr is in trouble on this game. But, of course, Iowa will need its A game to score some points and win. May only take 17-21. I like our chances.

I'm gonna say the game goes to overtime. It's just a coin flip at that point but the homer inside me will go ahead and say this:

Score tied 14-14.

In overtime Debby scores a TD and makes the extra point.

Iowa next up and they score a TD, but flub the xtra-point as the ball is hiked at a bad angle. The holder gets control of the ball and flips it to a teammate and Iowa scores 2 points by accident.

Game over. Iowa wins 22-21.

Darlington is their 3rd string. very talented but little to no experience and has had serious concussion issues. 4th string is a young backup safety.

They will use tons of motion and misdirection in the run game. they have receivers and speed. gotta keep the edge, discipline in position, and tackle well in space. Get them in 3rd and long and bring pressure...somehow.

I'd have a coronary and likely be unconscious and miss the win.

Not many guys eligible to receive that flip - would almost have to be Duncan. Hell of a last 2 home games for him! 18-year-old freshman and already an all-time legend.

Iowa really needs this game, haven't beaten Nebraska in Kinnick since 1981. To me it doesn't matter much who comes in at QB, Nebraska is going to come in and give Iowa all they got.

Defense and Special teams 7 each. Then hope the offense can come up with their 7 points.
That's exactly it. I was there 2 years ago watching as our offense was so inept that we punted at Nebraska's 34 yd line because KF didn't think we could move the ball or kick the FG.

This is my chance to bad mouth coach Ferentz in every way possible. Bad mouth blah, blah, blah and so on and so forth, blah, blah, blah!

I FART IN YOUR GENERAL DIRECTION, AGAIN!!!

That should do it again. I'm doin all I can. If my history of critical evaluation of KF's coaching style holds true to form. This game is in the bag.:) I hope.

If the defense gives a "Michigan game" type performance, we win this one. Nebraska will largely have to rely on the run. If Armstrong is healthy enough to play, pressure him..he's not at 100% to run and a bad hammy has "floating passes" written all over it. We've seen that before.

This game is there for the picking if the coaches set up the right game plan (and we can move the ball to some degree)

So you're saying we're screwed?

I have a tough time believing Armstrong won't play. It had to be killing him to not play on senior day last week. If he can run even at 50%ish I'd think he'll try and give it a go. I love the sounds of playing against him on one leg.

I hope we curb stomp these f*cks....I have no idea how some of you that live in Nebraska even stand it.....we cannot have any mental lapses....they will throw the kitchen sink at you, reverses, flea flickers, whatever just to throw you off....KF needs them sharp

Being Mr. Obvious here, the big concern is our offense. Or lack there of. I am not concerned that our defense will stop them.
Iowa has a good defense, they have an offense that is struggling to fill the QB spot. But our offense? We have two excellent running backs but the passing threat is almost non-existent.
