Iowa-Indiana next Thursday at 8 p.m., ESPN.

Here's the press release if you haven't seen it yet:

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa men's basketball game against Indiana, which was postponed on Tuesday, has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 in Bloomington, Ind. Tipoff is slated for 8:05 p.m. (CT) at Assembly Hall and will be televised nationally on ESPN.
In addition, Iowa's home game against Purdue, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 1 (7:15 p.m. CT), has been moved to Sunday, March 2 (1 p.m. CT). The Hawkeyes' contest against the Boilermakers will be televised nationally on BTN.
"Thanks to great teamwork, we were able to find a solution," said Iowa director of athletics Gary Barta. "I appreciate the work of Fred Glass (IU director of athletics) and his staff at Indiana, Jane Meyer from our staff, the cooperation we received from Purdue to move our game, as well as the efforts of the Big Ten Conference staff and our television partners.
"Our coaches and student-athletes have been resilient all year. I'm confident Fran and his staff will have us ready to play. Both teams will be playing games on the 25th, so the playing field is level from that important perspective."
"We appreciate the efforts of all those involved in working together during this process," said Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery. "I especially would like to thank Purdue's administration and Matt Painter for agreeing to move our game. Being able to move the Purdue game to Sunday allows us to have two days of preparation for both the Indiana and Purdue games next week.
Our players have conducted themselves with a great deal of maturity and have had a professional approach all season long, and expect that to continue the remainder of the year."
No. 15/15 Iowa hosts No. 16/18 Wisconsin Saturday at 11 a.m. (CT). Fans are encouraged to wear gold for "Be Bold, Wear Gold" and arrive early for Carver-Hawkeye Arena's inaugural card stunt, which will take place before tipoff. Should Iowa win fans are encouraged to storm the court.

Since the decision has finally been made, I'm hoping the crying will finally end.

Not sure why there was any crying to begin with, these are young kids that will adapt and my guess they are happy they get to play 3 games in next week. Just think if that metal piece fell 6 to 7 hours later. Yikes!!

I'm not going to be crying. There's no reason for us to lose any of these games. Tomorrow and Tuesday are being played as scheduled. Thursday gives us a big advantage with our depth. The postponement significantly reduces Indiana's chances at an upset IMO. Purdue should not be a problem.

This is going to be a great week. I love Iowa basketball and get to watch 4 games in 8 days. Winning all 4 will be the icing on the cake.

Purdue deserves a standing O when they show up. Fairly surprising considering they are the Hawk's most bitter rival.

I agree that there should be generous applause when Painter is announced before the game. We then move forward with the plan to make him miserable for the next couple hours of his life.

I wouldn't be so quick to jot down a W for the Purdue game. I fully expect them to come out hard and give us a run. They know what we will just have done, in terms of games played in such a short time; and they know if they can run with us for a while, they may be able to outlast us. I anticipate them to be playing for spoiler.
Any other view point about this particular subject is dumb and not thought out at all.

Edit: not sure why I have PCHawk quoted too.

I hope they try to run with us. It pretty much assures us the win. Purdue has won 1 road game in the B1G this year...at Illinois. I have it down as a W. Out of the 4 games this week I rate it as the game we are least likely to lose. Likelihood of an upset loss.

1 - Wisconsin
2 - @ Minnesota
3 - @ Indiana
4 - Purdue

My viewpoint on this is well thought out. I suspect yours wasn't...or you just don't follow other teams in the conference. I've actually watched every B1G team play several times. Purdue should not win the game at Iowa. Period.

I agree that PU should get credit for being flexible. I noticed that Fran singled out Painter and PU for praise, ignoring IU, which speaks volumes.

This is the Big Ten....Hawks can lose any or all of these games, if they have a poor shooting nite, which they have shown can happen anytime.

Athletes are creatures of habit, and this disruption could leave them rusty for Wisky, and dead tired for IU or PU.

If you really have watched as many B1G games as you are claiming this year, you wouldnt have made that statement. Anybody is winning anywhere this year in the B1G.

4-0 will be ideal but that's a tall order to happen guys. I think the Hawks will be the most tired out for the IU game. That may be the toughest one just in terms of fatigue.

And our AD THANKS IU's ad???? Whatever. IU is a band of nimrods.

Do you always have to be confrontational and obtuse/dense in your posts? "Anybody is winning anywhere..." I am talking about Purdue...as you know since you opted to bold this portion of my post. Purdue is losing this year. You clearly don't follow the Big 10 so I will assist you. This is Purdue on the road in the B1G this year.

L - MN
W - IL
L - NW
L - MI
L - PSU
L - OSU

Edit - Note they haven't even played 3 of the top 4 teams on the road while going 1-5. No Michigan State. No Iowa. No Wisconsin.

Indiana will be just as tired and isn't as deep.

All I did was point out that the B1G has been as topsy turvy as ever this year and I wouldnt guarantee a win against anybody no matter where the game was played.

If you are only talking about Purdue what was the point in telling us you have "watched every B1G team play several times"?

They are creatures of habit, but travel with no game won't ruin that. Nor will having the extra game next week. We have a lot of guys with fresh legs. They will be just fine, and they will have Indiana wishing the rest of their gymnasium fell apart too. This is a team that I hope can win 3 games in 3 days, and then 2 games in 3 days in back to back weeks. If they can't handle 4 games in 9 days, then those things probably aren't possible.

Let the crying begin.

Not much to cry over, we knew Wednesday the minute it was confired Iowa was on their way home that the game was probably going to be rescheduled for next Thursday. The "crying" or actually complaining was the idiots at Indiana for not resolving this faster so Iowa would have played this game yesterday while the team was already in town.

To bad Indiana does not play a home and away with Iowa this year, they deserve a nice round of boos from all of us.

Let's hope it's only the fans wearing gold. The Hawks need to be in their white home uni's instead of those crappy looking gold ones.

What would happen if just prior to playing there Thursday, another piece fell and had to be cancelled/postponed? Would B1G just say IU forfeits?

We have different levels of confidence on this game. I think fatigue will be a major factor, and you do not. I think Purdue will be pumped to try and steal a win, and you think it's not possible. Not biggie.

I also think if the Wisky and minny games are close, it may be a little tougher sledding in the Indiana game; Although I am more confident in that game than I am against Purdue.

Check your sarcasm meter. I think it's batteries may need to be replaced.
