Iowa has a new commit

Kidding aside, film shows a quick guy who wraps up one in thirty tackles.

Hah I had the same thought about half way through. He looks for the big hit a lot. He does wrap at times but definitely needs to be more consistent there. Pretty decent ball skills and is just a lot better athlete than his level of competition. Closes pretty quick when he reads run. Solid prospect, should put up some great highlights this coming fall as senior.

The only thing that bugs me about him is that he drops his head on big hits. His hit on the punt returner in the video could've ended up a serious injury. Hope the coaches get that out of his system because doing that in the BIG will land him a neck injury. He looks more athletic than a 3 star

What does this mean exactly....serious not trying to be an arse. Typically "polish" is what makes a higher star, not athleticism.

Happy with the way this class is developing and FWIW we're at #29 in the rivals.com team rankings.

The staff does a really good job in getting DB recruits, take the last few classes. Obviously, not many of these have hit the field yet so the jury is still very much out but I like their bio's, prep films, and potential.

Delano Hall
Mo Fleming(will start out at WR)
Ruben Lile
Nico Law
Malik Rucker
Anthony Morgan
Kevin Buford
Sean Draper
Jordan Lomax
Torrey Campbell

Those are some pretty strong recruits. I'd say we're recruiting better at DB the last few classes than at LB(DL has been as strong or stronger the last two classes). A lot of guys with good speed who'll get excellent coaching(and yes, it's worth saying again, our NFL production proves it).

I do have some concern about LB recruiting. Former LB Coach Wilson was very good, and he probably still is a underrated member of the staff, but hopefully Levar Woods will provide some extra push in LB recruiting. I realize that recruiting assignments are broken down by state/region not position(except sometimes, QB) but hopefully Levar makes an impression on the LB recruits when they interact with him. He's an impressive man, intelligent, articulate, and a former NFL LB. I'd think he'd be the kind of coach a lot of recruits would seek to emulate.

Malik will be a great addition to the Hawks. My son played freshman football with him here at Eden Prairie. He's very athletic and a great kid. Welcome aboard Malik.

Hawkfromnorwalk bringing up ISU again! A shocker.

I love that I have a personal stalker. When I write my memoirs someday I have somebody who has meticulously followed my every move on HN that I can confide you. You get no royalties though. That was never a part of the agreement.

I can't wait... It'll be a book all about your obsession with ISU.

Your obsession with HFN's obsession with ISU is worrisome. This is like the third or fourth thread you point that out. Do you have his posts set to notify your flip phone or what?
