I could never get into Butterfinger bars.

When O Leary's lake on the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi River had a swimming beach, the fishing barge sold Butterfingers for a dime.

I think I overindulged on them before the age of eight. But swimming at one of the two city pools was seventy five cents for three kids and a dollar for two adults. A buck seventy five back in those days for entertainment was a big deal certainly not an afternoon at a swimming pool
