Evans had a monster game that got completely lost in the shuffle. He's been an outstanding Hawk and I hope he gets an NFL shot.

No chance unfortunately. Evan’s is listed as 6’2” and he’s barely 6 feet tall. I’ve stood next to him (GREAT kid, btw in the 10 minutes my son and I got to talk to him) and I’m noticeably taller. I’m 6’1”.
He’s also listed at 252lbs, the average NFL DE is 280. Joe Evans—unlucky for him—was born in the wrong body.

Agreed. Even as a Edge Rusher in a 3-4 or a 3-3-5 it seems like a long shot for him to make it.

In regards to Brian: Reminds me of an old song by I believe Roy Clark, Thank God an Greyhound your gone!
Brian is far from being the only problem it’s going to take time to fix this mess & Kirk could very well be the elephant in the room. I don’t think he is capable of letting the other coaches do their own thing.
It's almost wild a kid like him was given the chance to play D1 at Iowa due to that. Thankfully guys like him Parker Hesse and Nate Meir get shots at it. All of them were far from the prototypical DE you look for. And none have a shot at the next level. But they were all damn good college football players
Hesse somehow has been playing TE though and it's the wildest thing going. Next to Matt Nelson going from DT to offensive tackle in the pros after never having done it in college is wild.

Oh totally agree and the odds are severely stacked against him. But it's a shot he deserves if he wants it, long as it may be

I agree with this completely. Whether Kirk's ultimately the problem or not bring in a new OC is going to do very little until we improve the talent across the entire offense. While a new OC may show signs of life year one, it's going to have to otherwise the recruiting doesn't pickup and until we start getting better players the results aren't going to be much different.
