Iowa Field Hockey Players File Title IX Suit

I am sure that I will get blasted, because this involves a women's sport, but this lawsuit, if they do decide to investigate, could become very interesting for Gary Barta. I know that several people on these boards want him gone. Well, if issues are discovered, this might be his ticket out of town.

Who's seat is currently hotter, Barta's, or Kirk's?

They've got some very valid points in their lawsuit. I may be wrong, but I believe there were some rumors about Bluder's seat being pretty warm a couple years ago when the team was on the NCAA bubble a couple times. Her program has been far more successful than the men's team during her tenure.

It is going to be interesting. I have heard/seen some people blasting their decision to more forward with the whole Title IX issue. If Barta is found at fault, he might be in trouble.

I doubt that GB will be in any trouble. Read the CR Gazette article which presents the players' side as well as the university response. Look at the data on coaches terminated over the past decade +, male vs female. Nothing to see here.
