Iowa favored by 2 over Gophers

I have seen plenty of Senior quarterbacks pick apart the Iowa defense after being frustrated on their first few attempts. Then Mitch Leidner is getting attention from pro scouts, and he is coming off a frustrating night where he threw the game away late against Penn State. But I just think the Hawks will be extra motivated this week after all the unfair criticism of their coach in the local media. Take the Hawks and the over, like that last game in the old Metrodome.

Be sure to send me a cut of all the money you guys make this weekend too.

That Sagarin spread sort of worries me. Vegas isn't usually that far off Sagarin and when they are it usually means go the other.
My thought is that Vegas has it much closer to -8 but they are setting it around -2 because the vast majority of the money is going to go on the Gophers anyway, so why not give yourself the cushion? They'd rather have 95% of the money on +2 than 99% of the money on +6. I'm just spitballin' though.

More often than not, when you see a line that screams "Easy Money", it NEVER is. Which is why I'm completely dumbfounded. Based on Iowa's play of late and the fact it's on the road, this should be Minn -3.5 or thereabouts. The fact it's Iowa -2 tells me Vegas knows something the rest of us doesn't.....

They are begging for the money to go on minny aren't they. That number is whacked. But Vegas hates losing money more than Barta. A lot more.

Vegas can be wrong too. They have been the past two weeks on Iowa. The reason this game won't be close is the same reason they lost to NW. Run defense. Minnesota is averaging 230 yards on the ground. They will put up about 300 against Iowa. It will be 2014 all over again.

You really think the criticism is unfair???

no theyu do
What could the odds makers know that we (Hawk addicts) don't know ? They usually know something.

If that was the case, Iowa would not have been 13.5 favorites last week. Only an idiot would have taken Iowa against ANYONE, and give 13.5. (except the losers in Ames)

Yeah...bet on Minnesota...be happy to lose the money if Iowa actually plays well and covers. The hope I would gain in this game is equal to the 50 bucks I would lose by taking the goofs.

This is the most unbelievable line I've seen in an Iowa game in a couple years. The goofs must be even worse than we think. Although I don't know what Iowa has done to even remotely impress oddsmakers.
There throwing out the bait to see if they can catch some foolish Hawkeye Fans

I lost a couple hundred bucks betting on Nebraska last year. It was definitely worth it because I don't miss the money at all but 12-0 lives on forever. (crazy how they decided to just end the season last year after the regular season and we finished 12-0 without going to a bowl game, isn't it??!)

The problem is Minnesota's offense won't be stopped by Iowas D and Iowa's pass protection is something worse than horrible. Iowa is getting pressured on 33% of its passing plays.

I was going to say that Minnesota's defense is near the bottom of the conference in sacks, but then I remembered that Northwestern had been sitting near the bottom of the conference in sacks before THEY DOUBLED THE NUMBER IN ONE GAME LAST WEEK.
