From article:

“I think what Adam has to do — and this is what he’s working on — is that he has to impact the game in a variety of different ways,â€￾ McCaffery said. “That’s his strength. He wants to score; we want him to score. But he can’t view himself as being a success or failure purely on many points he gets. He’s a runner, he’s a rebounder, he’s a really good passer, he’s not a mistake guy. He has good basketball I.Q. If he does all of those things, and then offensive rebounds, his offense will come around, and he will be much more comfortable out there because he’s impacting the game on many different levels. I think that’s what he has continue to work on.â€￾

I got to thinking earlier about Erek Hansen, after seeing the picture in the Alford complaining thread, and I remember going to see him at Kirkwood when he was there. He didn't start the game I was at but he didn't do much of anything. His D was bad, he rarely shot, he did dunk once, but he ended up being very good later on in his career. Woody has a better body build than Erek and will fill in. He is better as a freshman than Erek was as a soph. He will get better and it will be fun to watch.

Give the kid a break he is a freshman. Everyone on this team has had bad game or games this season. We are all hoping this team gets better and hot at the end of the season. Good luck AW most fans are still with you.

Woodbury is pressing and seems out of sorts offensively. He hustles and scraps, so no knock on his heart or determination, but this is a poor shooting team from A-Z and they need some production in the paint. Basabe is the best athlete on the team and has developed confidence, to go along with an improved game on both ends. Starting Woodbury has been a broken record of late--two early fouls, no points and on the bench for most of the first half. Start Basabe or even Olaseni--it's not like there is big gap in production between Woodbury and Olaseni at this point. Anything to break the cycle of two quick fouls and pine time for Woodbury.

If Woodbury sits, start Gabe. It is very important, imo, that Basabe comes off the bench to back up the starter and bring renewed energy to the team. If Basabe starts and gets into foul trouble early, then what do you do? Scramble to survive the 1st half. Continue to benefit from Mel's play after some time has run off the clock. Then, if Mel gets into foul trouble, you have fewer minutes to try and plug the hole in the dam, so to speak.

Woody is trying to do too much too soon. He's got talent, they're isn't an argument there... But he needs to calm down and let him let develop. He's not using his skills the best yet. But, he is a freshman. These things will come with time.

Eric was a shot blocker, and that was all. He only averaged about 5 points and 3 rebounds his entire career. When you try to block the shot every time, you're not in position to get many rebounds.
