Iowa Commit Reports

Something tells me that this is the year where a commitment to Iowa actually starts leading to higher regard from evaluators.

Ryan seems like a guy with a big upside. Athletic, big frame, just needs to add strength and size. He'll have this year and next to work on his technique and his physical development. Should be a nice match with our guard/center recruits last year.

Hopefully, we can add Diamond and/or Kozan to this OL class.

Detroit Cass Tech being killed by Farmington Hills Harrison(defending state champs)29-0. Not sure of the quarter.

3 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. There are 4 Big Ten level players on Cass Tech's defense, so giving up 29 points in a half is a little stunning.

Here's a pic of Ruben Lile's cleats for tonight's game. He will make an official announcement after the game. His team is down 36-0 in the second half.

Laron Taylor, LB, Cass Tech (Detroit, MI)—Cass Tech season starts Saturday night Harrison of Farmington Hills. After the game, another Iowa recruit, Ruben Lile, will give his verbal commitment. Word is that Lile is down to Iowa, Wisconsin, Toledo, and Vanderbilt.

Cass Tech got pounded tonight, falling 43-7 to Farmington Hills Harrison. Ruben Lile committed to Iowa afterwards. Here's a summary of the game. It seems that Lile and Taylor (along with all of their teammates) must have had quiet nights. They aren't mentioned in any of the summaries I've read.

Here's a nice write-up on the Cass Tech-Harrison game that featured Taylor and Lile.

Kind of interesting that they praise several of the Cass defenders (Taylor, Lile, Lewis, White and Drake) throughout the report, yet they were blown out so badly. Sounds like Taylor was really a non-factor in the game. They must not have any d-line at all because they have three linebackers who will play college ball and 2 d-backs.
