Iowa City West 4-Star WR Oliver Martin Updates Recruitment

When ND offered and it was reported they were Martin's "dream school" I sort of just accepted he'd be going there. After reading the interview, he seemed to downplay ND, a little bit, so who knows. It is clear he's leaning on his parents quite heavily, so perhaps that does bode well for Iowa.
 
Some recruits have a good idea where they're going at this point and just want to be sure by seeing other schools. While I think he ends up at Iowa in the end, I don't think OM knows where he wants to go yet. He's going through the recruiting process to figure it out.

Again, he was really an afterthought for most of the schools until June camps. His process started a lot later than the majority of the 4-star kids in this '17 class. He needs to learn more about these programs and their coaches.
 
Sounds like he puts a lot of weight on his parent's opinions. He will probably make a good choice. Hopefully at Iowa, but that may not be best for him. Good luck to him regardless of his decision.
 
With the offer to Corrales does the pressure build? Sounds like Corrales wants to be here, i'm not getting the vibe from Martin.
 
I'm told that Oliver still is planning to go to Oregon. It just didn't work out for this weekend, so since he was in Iowa City, to go to the Iowa-ISU game.

That's what I would say too if I wanted to surprise everyone with a commitment tonight.
 
it'd be nice if Iowa could land one blue chip WR from the state of Iowa in Ferentz's career. They always seem to go out state or, in the case of Lazard, the 3rd best school in the state. Then again, ISU doesn't have to play grand view or drake so they could be the 4th or 5th best school :D

Imagine this season with Willies and Darboh and Lazard starting at WR? I'm thinking playoffs for certain with those weapons.

I know . . . I know . . . they didn't grow up Hawkeye fans. So what? You think Eno and Calloway grew up Hawkeye fans?? And for the record I don't really think KF is expected to land all 3. But one of them ahead of J. Smith would be nice.
