I'm not starting a debate over Reiland's all-star teams. But it seems there are no good Iowa City wrestlers anymore.
Iowa City used to have two quality programs. Neither ever seemed like a consistent super power, but both were always able to put a solid line-up on the mat, with a few great wrestlers mixed in. And with right group able to build contenders. I always considered Iowa City a good wrestling community.
Take a look now. Iowa City West has no local kids are in the line-up.
City High has had a very weak line-up for the last several years. It seems there's not many quality wrestlers in Iowa City anymore.
