So back to where we were at the start of the day, but we don't have to win at PSU.

Pretty much. It is still technically there and could happen. Right now I would give it about a 40-45% chance. I think it all hinges on next week at Purdue and when Wisco travels to Penn St. That will decide who goes to Indy. I think Iowa will take care of business the next 3 weeks after Purdue.

Stanely just played scared. Penn state qb would have had a field day playing for the hawkeyes today.

Coaches gave up on this game to protect stanely from being down about being benched. Not saying manzell leads them to victory, but you cant have 10 other guys busting there butts out there to have a qb put out that kind of performance.

Any other position when things get off, the player gets benched, but for qb we are suppose to just role with the norm?

This game looked like two turds peeling themselves and throwing it at each other. Both teams had multiple chances to put the game away but didn't.

I felt from the start of this season that any success this year is a bonus, but next year is the year. Then again, that seems to be a recurring theme.

I’m sorry but Purdue and NW do not constitute big games. Significant games, yes, given the weak joke that symbolizes the West division. I think what most fans mean to say is beating helmet teams within the context of a successful season, beyond the one outlier game the last 2 seasons.

Fair enough. I don’t think anyone will confuse games against Purdue and northwestern as program changing games. Like you said the West is pretty weak. That was proven again today.

But Iowa can still win the division and right now that would be a huge step for them. So I would agree with your term “significant”. They gotta find a way to win those games and hope Wisconson loses again

They could also lose to NW and yes....even Nebraska. They have enough playmakers on offense, and if Stanley has one of his WTF games....get ready. They've already marked that game as their Super Bowl for this year.
