Iowa Beats Corn****ers if...

here are a couple from me to start.
-It'd be great if we score first and/or early. I feel like we do better when we have a good first drive with some points.
-Get a little bit of pressure from our front four.
-Throw a blitz in every now and then. What else does everyone have. whats our key...

Score more points? Break T Magics's leg? So many answers

Seriously though, I think that if we play solid assignment defense and get a couple big passing plays in.

We win on saturday if we _catch t-magic trying to fill it in boys....?

if JVB gets rattled it could be a long day... I thought he was rattled at Penn State.

He probably was and the play calling reflected it. He ran a lot of short routes so that did not back anybody up on defense. They are weak against the run but If we can get them to repect the pass, easy pickings :p

My one knock on JVB is that when he tried to audible too much it seems like he gets flustered and gets out of his comfort zone. I would coach him to keep it as simple as possible right now. We have to have a plan to pick up their blitzes though or they will really do damage.

...execute and play a full 60 minutes.

JVB took a big step forward last week and played well on the road.

Nebraska puts the ball on the turf, the only FBS team that has fumbled it more this year is Army. Also, Martinez has a lot of balls tipped/batted with his low release point. If Iowa can turn these opportunities into 2+ turnovers, they will have a good shot.

key to monkey man martinez (IMO) is that if he starts slow he continues to struggle. if he makes some plays early he really does well. WE need him to have a bad start...

On defense we need to have a really good tackling game. bad tackling and aggression against ISU, bad tackling played hard at penn st, very poor tackling and aggression against MSU. Great tackling games against NW, Mich, and Purdue and held down their offenses.

On offense, run straight at them and not much laterally and give JVB some high percentage passes the first few possesions to get him settled and usign good technique.
