Iowa Athletic Department Spending...

$300,000 for Greg Davis, good
$187,000 for LeVar Woods, good
$200,000ish for Brian Ferentz, good
$53,000,000 for new football practice facility, offices, weight room etc, needed

$800,000 to Todd Lickliter this year and next, not to be Iowa's coach? The best investment Barta has made to date?

I thought they were done paying Todd after this summer?

I just looked it up, they pay Licks final 800K this June.

But yeah, best investment and the fans at the game last night is the proof.

Although Matt won't get to reap the ultimate rewards, he was never part of the problem, and made himself a key part of the solution, and for that he's earned my respect forever.

Well, unless he takes the ISU AD job in 10 years.

What if he hires who Iowa fans want as ISU coaches?

Was that Brian sitting in front of Kirk last night? If so, and we are paying him that much, he needs to start dressing better.

53 mil for the new fb practice facility..wow, I thought it was 35.

UI recently "spent" $7.2 mil on a boathouse for the crew team. Part of which was built with local and recycled materials. The majority of the money came from the Athletic Department with donations totaling $1.7 mil.

$7.2 mil / 20,000 sq. ft boathouse = $360 sq. ft.

$53.5 mil / 111,500 sq. ft. indoor practice facility = $479 sq. ft.

We are blessed with a money-making football program and some very generous donors.
