Knocked the ref on her ass!!!! Loved it!!!
Hagarwood....Ally scored 22 today. Where's that put her overall with the record?
Thanks! With Ally being from Iowa City it doesn't get any cooler than that! It would be such a huge accomplishment!102 to tie the record. At least 7 games left, she should be in good shape.
Not sure how the poster figured 7 games left. There are 4 regular season games and 1 BTT game for sure. That is 5 games by my count and she needs 102 to tie and 103 for the record. That means she needs to average 20.6 to get there. If we win a tournament game and if we get an invite to NCAA tournament (we are in the 1st 4 out right now) or a WNIT invite we can get to six games and that would be 17.2 average. In the BTT we can get a second game by winning, but we need to be 5 or 6 seed to get a winner from the 11-14 group (likely Rutgers, Wisc., Neb. Ill. Minn.) otherwise we likely draw are 1st game from the NW, Purdue, Indiana, MSU Mich. group. So It would help Ally for us to close strong enough to get a 5 or 6 seed. Play like we did today and we'll be fine. Sure would be nice to sneak into the NCAA tournament, but we would probably get a home game or two in WNIT.Thanks! I really don't disagree except we could only play 5 more. I think we'll have a nice BTT, but if we play a game like we did against Illinois we can lose to a bad team and these won't be home games in the tournament and we have yet to establish we can win on the road (except for Rutgers). I think if we get a WNIT bid we'll get a home game and probably continue to get them as long as we win, but not getting invited is possible and stranger things have happened.I'd figure at least 7 left. 4 plus 2 for big 10 and NCAA/NIT, win either first round game and that's 7. The program has a very good record in the first round of post season tournaments, and this team is playing some good basketball.
