Iowa at Nebraska [IA -3]

My only concern was watching Peters gouge us for big gains yesterday when he is nowhere close to Martinez as a running threat.

Keeping the ball for around forty minutes of possession time would help neutralize Martinez and the rest of the Frosties.

and last year they supposedly remembered the previous year...

...and in 2017 they remembered the previous year.....

...and in 2016 they remembered the previous year....

This is about the fifth time I've read how an upcoming opponent will have extra motivation based on how last year's game went. Yet we keep sending them home with their tails between their legs. Play our game Friday and we will be fine.

The hawks had a couple of defensive drives against Illinois where they did not play sound position and assignment football. Not sure what it was but AJE and others were chasing from the backside and getting faked by their qb and not always containing the backside. Illinois starting running back is also pretty good. It also didnt look like the hawks had their best tackling game of year saturday

Hawks need to contain Martinez and #1 I think it is and they should be ok.

Road game there with them playing a bit better should give us some pause. We should take care of business, but don't sleep on them either.
 
Gotta get up for the game, because you know they will be. Also it's the last game of the season!!
I think Wisconsin took it easy on them, no pads were popping in that game.
 
Poor weather, unlike years past, is not in our favor. Imo.

They run the ball a lot of ways. We dont.

Defense holding them is huge, and tds instead of fgs imperative.

So, what's the difference in bowl games going 9-3 versus 8-4? I'm not advocating a loss. I want Martinez and Co. to feel the wrath. This game is equally important to both teams

It might be fairly significant. With a win we might get a sniff at the Citrus depending on how a few other teams go.
 
Nebraska's offense can score. They have some play makers. But they are going against a very good defense. On the other hand Iowa's offense is going against a mediocre defense.
