Iowa at #16 in AP Poll

Michigan State barely beat us even though we went nearly a half without a field goal. That's another way to look at that game.

And with barely one eye open to avoid the pain? Because Iowa has a history of getting blown out this year.

IF, and i say IF, MSU is healthy when we play them next, and/or the next time after that, then yes I am watching with one eye open. Payne is a beast, Dawson is a freak, and Izzo is the best there is on the sidelines. In East Lansing it could get ugly. While we do not have a history of getting blown out this year, that does not mean it won't happen. Did Michigan have a history of being run off the floor before we did it to them on Saturday? MSU at home and healthy could very well abuse us pretty bad. I hope it doesnt happen, but I am afraid it will. Put down the kool aid for just a second and maybe you will see it the same way.

Iowa also won @OSU, and they returned the favor in Iowa City. I've seen this type of thing happen many times in the past, where the road team wins each game. My point is that just because Iowa lost to MSU in Iowa City does not guarantee a loss in East Lansing. MSU may well be healthier by then, but Iowa may also play a better game the second time around, too.

I'm not crazy about our chances in East Lansing, either, but I'm not writing this one off as an automatic L. Gotta play the game.

If you're old enough to remember, I remember Iowa's 1990-91 team, frankly, getting run out of the gym by Indiana in Iowa City. But late in the season, Iowa went into Bloomington and won in OT. Who would've thought? Never say never.

If Iowa shoots and defends like they did on Saturday there's no way the MSU game gets ugly.
Only way it gets ugly is if Iowa plays like crap. And even then it probably stays within 10 points.

We played horrible against them at home and it went to OT.

Payne is a very good player but I just watched them lose to Wisconsin with him in the game.

The way we beat MSU in East Lansing is by learning from past mistakes and having and executing a proper game plan.

I've said it a million times and I'll say it once more, Michigan St. has looked worn out and banged up before the halfway point. Even the guys who didn't miss full games. I have never seen them so vulnerable. Why did they commit all those fouls against us? I'll give you a hint: It isn't because they could keep up with us or stop us from moving the ball.

If Iowa plays like they did Saturday it will get ugly...for MSU fans.

I'm glad the players aren't as easily intimidated as you are. Michigan State was healthy earlier in the year and still struggling/losing home games. I don't think we will win at Michigan State but we are certainly talented enough to win there even if their entire roster is at 100%. It would be kind of fun to ruin their Senior Day festivities.

Sounds like the MSU football players faking injuries to slow down Iowa's quick huddles and hurry up offense.

I was thinking that the B1G could get 3 teams to the Sweet 16, maybe 1 to the Elite 8, but none in the Final Four.

Absolutely NOTHING supports that statement. Five B1G teams have been ranked in the Top Ten this year, four in the Top 15 now. 6-7 are getting into the tournament. If some homer claimed all of the FF teams will be from the conference they'd be rightfully slammed, but they would at least have something to back it up with.
