I know this stat is tailored to Iowa's favor but I think it goes a long ways to show the consistency of the Kirk Ferentz era.
As we all know 2009 was the 4th time since 2002 that Iowa finished the season in the top 8 in both polls.
Iowa is tied for 5th in that "category".
1. USC - 7 times
2. Ohio St. - 6 times
3. Oklahoma - 5 times
3. Texas - 5 times
5. Iowa - 4 times
5. LSU - 4 times
5. Georgia - 4 times
I am hoping that Iowa can win out this year and finish in the top 8 again. They would at least pull into a tie for 4th place as Texas looks like it won't finish in the top 8. We would move ahead of Georgia and get one on USC. OSU/Oklahoma/LSU all have good chances to finish there again.
That is some pretty elite company.
