Iowa against UM blitz packages

Did you watch the game last week Deace? There was plenty of blitzing going on there. Prior to that there hadn't been much. Also, I don't think you will see much of the three man front. I think Roh will have his hand on the ground a lot this game and Herron will be in his linebacker spot. Roh of the edge and Martin up the middle are the closest thing we have to a pass rush so we need to utilize them.

Believe me, I unfortunately watched it...and I what I saw were a lot of run blitzes with eight man fronts. I think the poster was talking about passing situations.

The one that is burned into my brain is the blitz on 3rd down with Cullen Christian one on one and no help over the top. I hope they don't do that again.

I'd be more concerned if their defense wasn't as bad as it is. If they blitz, they better hope they get to Stanzi, because otherwise he's going to have WRs/TEs likely wide open.

That being said, I do hope our OL, TEs and RBs are more prepared for roles in pass protection, and that if it came down to it, Stanzi makes the sensible plays and either throws it away or takes the sack, rather than turning the ball over.
