Iowa Adds Juco Corner as Walk-On

I don't know if this will happen, but IF Hyde does move to safety that COULD open up a spot somewhere in the near future for someone such as Smith to find some time on the field. Just my guess, but it wouldn't really surprise me if someone came from nowhere this year or next to take over the corner spots. Especially with Prater in his last year.

Spievey was a stud that year in Fort Dodge....hope this young man can follow in his footsteps...at least as a returner and special teams guy.

Any idea what happened to Solomon? I had figured with his size, he could play at the next level. Didn't expect him to be a probowler or anything, but figured he would find a roster for awhile.

He signed with the Rams, Titans and Bears before trying out arena football. Last I heard he was playing in a league below AFL2 for the Wichita team.

I really like the way he tackles! I'm no judge of coverage because its a lot of scheme, but the way he sticks his nose in on running plays, shedding blockers, and coming up to make a hit on the short throws is Iowa's game.
