Iowa -5.5

Looks like the hawks opened as 5.5 point favorites. That's an early line so the books can adjust it as they post it to their boards.


That number is a bit higher than I thought.....everyone agree?
 


I will be putting money down for an Iowa win, but I don't know if I will take a -5.5 spread.
 


Have some faith. The hawks are well traveled. X might have some trouble concentrating in the bahamas, the hawks have been to europe ( White and Uthoff even more). I feel like one would be safe to think the hawks would cover if the spread was -9.5. AS LONG AS THAT 3 BALL CAN FIND THE BOTTOM OF THE NET AT AT LEAST 35%.
 


I'd take the hawks. As bad as the fans have wanted to play against tougher competition, I'm sure the players want it more and are ready to play with something to prove.

That's the only real doubt I have about this game. If the team responds to the pressure and shoots well, I think they win and cover the spread. If they don't, it's possible they win. You know their D will keep them in it. But it will be tough.
 


Well, if there's was a betting man, they would have taken my wager since I gave Xavier +11 on my earlier post. I guess we'll find out tomorrow, lol.
 


That seems like a big number. But then I know nothing about Xavier except what people on this board have posted. They also know nothing. :rolleyes:
 






As I was placing my bet, I saw it roll across the screen that 73% of the betters are taking Xavier to win straight up. I'm surprised by that, but the payout would be nice.
