The Hawkeye wrestling team had a great night. Lee got a fall in 38 seconds, Marinelli also got a fall, DeSanto upset his opponent, Stoll his back in action and got a major decision. They are wrestling like a championship team now that the flu bug has passed.

You can tell they are gaining confidence. I really think they are in position to be able to beat either Ohio State or Okla State on any given night.
I think we're still 1 year away from having a legit shot at National title and taking down PSU though.
Saving up for my NCAA tickets in Minneapolis 2020!
Side note:
I love DeSanto's motor - but I really don;t like his yelling and taunting after a big win. Brands needs to break him of that habit quick, cause Refs will be lighting-quick to nail him if it continues.

DeSanto definitely has some growing up to do, something that Brands was aware of when he brought him in. He has taken (justifiably so) a lot of heat for that Micic match, but, what we are seeing now is more akin to taunting in football as opposed to trying to hurt an opponent with an illegal move. There's a big qualitative difference there.

What I do like is that DeSanto is "owning it," and he openly talks about getting better control of his emotions and the need to change. That's a very positive sign.
