So how did Iowa end up with the #3 seed over Illinois when they tied with a 17-7 conference record and the Illini won the series with the Hawks? I understand why Rutgers won the 3-way tie and got the #2 seed, but I would think that would leave Iowa/Illinois coming down to head-to-head.

It’s overall record against similar opponents. They all played 3 teams and Iowa had the 2nd best record between them. I’m too lazy to look up who those 3 teams were.

Would rather be playing Penn State anyhow, Purdue is better than their B10 record indicates, looks like we need to win the first 2 to get an at large bid, but ideally, win it all and leave no doubt.
