That's amazing.
Because we lost to a top 10 ranked team in the final minutes of the game? Iowa is better than their record and most certainly deserves to be ranked.

We're better than our record? We should have 5 losses right now. Good ranked teams don't give up four (almost five) game winning drives. Good ranked teams don't have clock management issues. Good ranked teams don't have horrible special teams. We currently don't deserve to have a number in front of our name.

Your right, Temple deserves to be ranked ahead of us. What's wrong with you, do you not want a decent bowl game. We hung in there against Ohio State, whos one bad game away from national title. We dominated the top 10 team in the country, MSU. Yes we were bad vs. Indiana and NW, but I'd still take us over any ACC team like Miami.

At this point bowl selection will come down to conference wins and whatever place we finish in the Big 10. Ranking doesn't matter anymore. And I feel a team that doesn't have the ability to be clutch in crunch time (four times over) deserves to be ranked. Sitting at 7-4 this team has done very little to earn that little number in front of their name.

In a strange way... Iowa has actually outscored the 4 Top 25 teams ranked ahead of them in head to head play. The Hawkeyes may be underrated.

Also at #25 you have Mississippi State at 7-4... #26 Northern Illinois #27 Central Florida... you think Iowa should be ranked behind those teams?
The nerve of some people! It is too bad so many people live in a world of win-loss perception. A team that loses a close game is not that much different than that same team that won the close game... but makes a world of difference in most people's opinion. They go from undefeated to chumps over 4 crazy plays in one season. The Ohio State 4th down was the biggest difference in this season.
Michigan State has lost one game... they got blown out by Iowa. I hope they beat Penn State next Saturday.

if you don't go by an objective measure like W-L, it becomes subjective and a huge mess. W-L is the most important thing. 4 losses is still 4 losses, no matter how close. not saying we shouldn't be ranked, or that they're chumps. just my thoughts. idle down charlie.

Just explaining to you why Iowa is still ranked in the Top 25 since you were surprised by it. Another tidbit. The score of the game and who you were playing against is a subjective measure taken into account in both computer and human polls. You should just pay attention to standings if all you think that counts is win-losses. Many of us Iowa fans have already started to not pay much attention to polls and focus on the Big Ten Standings which are more OBJECTIVE. Don't resort to name calling again. Thank You

Iowa lost by three points - at home - to a team ranked 12 spots ahead of them, when that team was favored by a field goal.
Nobody should be surprised or upset that Iowa is still ranked. Some of you sound like Cyclone fans.
