Iowa hangs on for dear life, but ultimately stays in @APTop25_BB at No. 24. Hawkeyes with 94 points, 2 more than No. 25 Kentucky.

Also Lunardi's latest bracket out. Has Iowa as a 6 seed vs Southern Miss. Virginia the 3 opposite us. Nova the 2, and Wichita St the 1. That would be a favorable bracket for a run.

I wish Lunardi would just print the projected seeds and not even attempt at placing the field in their regions. He fails miserably every week with this.

Has a Texas/ISU matchup for the 3rd round. Not going to happen.

Not a bad bracket for the Hawkeyes, although I would assume the Louisville/Michigan State winner would beat Wichita State (just IMO). A rematch against Villanova would be much appreciated after the Atlantis debacle.

That East bracket is scary good...Kansas, Michigan, Syracuse, Kentucky? No thanks.

I don't really understand the bracket though as Lunardi has Iowa State and Texas at the same location. I thought the committee tries to avoid conference opponents that soon.

I am shocked the Hawks are still ranked after last week. But Lunardi's brackets also has me surprised as I thought Iowa would drop to a 7 or 8. If Iowa is seeded 6 or 7 it would be awesome if they got assigned to St Louis or Milwaukee as I think Hawk fans would travel well to either of those sites.

I'm also shocked to see them stay in the Top 25. But happy. If they have a win or a good showing in EL and a big win on seniors day, then they will stay in the Top 25. That's good heading into the Sunday, March 16 seeding selections.

I'm shocked as well they are still ranked, and I know the trolls were in full force last week. I don't judge everything on this board from a small select few, I just get a kick out of the pulse of this board on a daily basis. It's interesting to see how high it can get and how low it can go with very little perspective.... i guess that's all part of being a fan. I'm only that bat **** crazy during the actual game itself when i find myself an emotional wreck.

I'm a psycho during games thus no one should pay any attention to anything I post in the game thread and it's probably a good idea to ignore me about 10 minutes after the game or so. On the other hand, I'm smart enough to know that posting a new thread when I'm in such a state is a bad idea.

I would ignore Lunardi's brackets....I highly doubt he is going to have the same matchups the selection committ has. We'll find out on March 16th who we play.
