Iowa 1 point favorites @ Neb

Hmm... Nebby has lost 4 in a row but their only 2 conference home losses are the opener way back against Indiana and to Wiscy.

We beat them by 11 earlier in the year. 10 points seems about right, maybe slightly high if anything in the flipping of home court advantage. Iowa should be playing with urgency as they need this one but sometimes urgency turns into tightness.

So... I think I would take the Hawks but if forced to bet but in reality, I wouldn't touch it.

One point is a bounce of the ball off the rim, off someone's hand or foot, or one lame call on a touch foul by an official. Unless it was a small bet I wouldn't put money on this game or any game with such a small spread. Now someone with a bigger spread who is going in the right direction , maybe bet.

But what direction are the hawks going right now???

I never saw the loss to NW happening after beatin Mich and Maryland. Minny has 3 tough senior starters and a tough draw then they lose to j NW, crazy

What you saying here? 10 points seems about right?

i wouldn't have an issue laying down something small on a 1 point spread when I got the better team!

I say Iowa wins 61-56.

Yeah...that's kinda how gambling works. One point is actually easier in this regard because you're basically just betting who you think will win straight up. If it's a bigger spread, the game is more likely to be affected by a meaningless three or couple free throws at the end.

I was just thinkin -4 or so for Carver and -5 or so for Nebbys home court and thus 8-10 points seems about right in using the pervious game as a comparison.

I was extremely confident iowa was going to cover last weekend at northwestern. My confidence is shot

nebby has shot awful the last month...so I'm sure they'll be on fire.

The Hawks need to be physical, confident, and shoot above 45%. We certainly CAN win there, probably Should win, but we Should have beaten NW, Should have beaten Purdue, and Should have beaten Minny at home....

Go Hawks...get this one !

I've given up trying to predict what this team will do. they can steamroll Michigan and lose to jNW. I have no idea which team will show up.

NW is better than Michigan at this point in the season. Michigan has an RPI of 95 and NW is at 125. Michigan only beat NW by 2 at NW. I fully expect NW to win the rematch March 3.

I'm not sure why so many people were impressed with that Michigan win. That team is pathetic this year.

Iowa should stop playing Nebraska nothing to gain and everything to lose in this game.

Stop playing conference games? Interesting, but I'm pretty sure ya can't do that. Still a gain if we win, every win helps, especially in conference.

But you knew that and we're making a not-so-subtle comment in regards to many fans feeling that playing isu in football is a lose/lose. I personally like the interstate game, as without it, there would really be no rivalry in state. And yes, I It's a rivalry, a pretty even one over the last 15 years or so in multiple sports. It would help a ton if isu football could win a few more games each year, Iowa's loses to them wouldn't hurt so bad then.
