Interesting Read...Is the End Near?

Remember when baseball was America's past time?

True....then the internet, iphones, cable tv, instant this, instant that, etc made almost every fan in this country frenetic...too much so to watch a 3+ hour sporting event.

The patience for a true art of a game (baseball) has been lost.

Or it could be that it's just boring.

Football is the most important thing in our society. It is not going anywhere.

Sad but true.

I would bet that a lot of Americans, just off the top of their heads, might know the third, fourth and emergency-string db's on their favorite football team's bench but couldn't name three politicians writing the policies that shape their local communities or the names of three soldiers from their state that have died overseas in the past year. I know I couldnt.

I do love our country but sometimes our priorities seem way out of whack.

I agree with the idea that hard-plastic armor will become a thing of the past eventually

Time to go full metal jacket on all fronts...including equipment standards that must be adhered to.

It is insane that the NFL makes a bigger deal about players wearing the wrong manufacturer's shoes or covering up sponsors' logos than they do about making sure players have safe equipment to protect them.
