This is from The Athletic. You have to be a member. It's a $1 a month.

Guess I could copy and paste the entire article. Fry...is that kosher?
I just finished reading this article. Wow. Iowa spent some serious $$. And that ain’t all. This staff is all in on a serious offense as well. Hope Seth can bring the article. You guys will love it!

$2 a month. Damn a 100% increase

You can read on there for free if you haven't done it already. They allow for a 8 day free trial. I didn't click on that option. I chose the one below that which allowed me to read the article. You will need to give them and email and a password to initialize everything. If you want to do the seven day free trial then they will ask for a credit card.

I don't think $2 a month is going to kill anyone my only concern is not the money it is not knowing what security issues they have taken to protect your credit cards info. I have seen top rated government agencies get hacked which directly affected me personally. I have been forced to go to the three credit bureau's and freeze all new credit request. So there the risk right there. What security do they have that guarantees hackers won't get your credit card info. The money is not an issue. I guess a person could try to send them a payment using Venmo or other options. Maybe a western union payment of $24 for the whole year.

It's a fun article to read and get's you hyped for the season to get started. Interesting that some very top people are working with Tim Lester. They are good enough to take over the offensive coordinator spot if Lester is promoted the season after this season. I don't think as talented as some of these guys are that they are going to want to stick around and just be assistants for very long.

Will Kirk really let the OC do his thing and not try control freak the offense. We will see.

I was really impressed with the credibility of not only Tim, but also the 3 other additions to the staff. They are all in on the new O. I think KF is willing to turn over the O to Tim. Yes. Any head coach in the business has the final say, as it should be.

I had a subscription for a few years. THen it was a lot more per month after the into pricing. when my wife retired I cancelled.... maybe I'll re-up

Joined The Athlete the first day if was offered

They tried to raise the price to $7

I immediately called them and talked to a supervisor

Told her I was retired and couldn't afford the new price

She gave me a subscription to the NYT for a dollar a week and The Athlete for $1 a month

I have full access to the Times including the games and do the crossword each and every day

I do this yearly with my SiriusXM subscription.

I'm a typical "it's not polite to barter" American.

However, as Duke says, it's easy. I call the SiriusXM customer service # and use the magic phrase, "I can't afford the new price and will have to cancel."

They immediately go to page 2 of their playbook and offer me a "loyal customer" discount, which is 50% off. I do this every year.

I did this with my T-Mobile internet and AT&T phone plans. It works.
